Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Aït Benhaddou – Dades Valley
Leave Marrakech in the morning and cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n'Tichka (2,260m), stopping at panoramic viewpoints along the way. Visit the UNESCO-listed ksar of Aït Benhaddou, a historic fortified village known for its earthen architecture, before continuing through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses. Arrive in the Dades Valley for dinner and an overnight stay in a hotel or guesthouse.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, travel through the changing landscapes of southern Morocco to Todra Gorge. Take time to walk beneath the high canyon walls, then continue through oasis towns and desert country toward Merzouga. At the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes, meet the camel team and ride across the sand as the light changes over the Sahara. Reach the desert camp for dinner, local music, and a night beneath the stars.
Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Wake early to watch sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes, then enjoy breakfast at the camp. Return from the dunes by camel and begin the journey back to Marrakech. Travel through the desert towns and valleys of southern Morocco, passing Rissani and Ouarzazate before crossing the High Atlas Mountains. Arrive at your Marrakech hotel or riad in the evening, where the tour ends.
