Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil (1,740m) – Tizi n'Tamatert (2,279m) – Tacheddirt (2,300m)
4 - 5 hoursDrive from Marrakech to Imlil and meet the guide and support team. Walk through Tamatert village, then climb the zig-zag trail to Tizi n'Tamatert. The pass opens views back across Imlil and forward along the long Imenane Valley. After a picnic lunch, traverse the upper slopes and descend gently to Ouaneskra and Tacheddirt. Settle into a local guesthouse and explore the village before dinner.
Day 2: Tacheddirt – Ouaneskra – Tamguist – Ikiss – Asni – Marrakech
5 - 6 hoursDescend gradually through the Imenane Valley, using old village paths above the river and passing stone houses, irrigated terraces, and seasonal orchards. Walk through Ouaneskra, Tamguist, and Ikiss, stopping for tea or lunch according to the group's pace. Continue to the lower valley and meet the vehicle near Asni for the afternoon drive back to Marrakech.
